We are looking for an enthusiastic staff member to join a fun hardworking kitchen team.We are offering a Casual / Part Time positionThe successful applicant must:Possess a demonstrable passion for foodHave no issue with following & giving directionsHave the ability to work independently & within a teamBe an excellent multi-tasker with valuable initiativeHave excellent inter-personal skills & maintain a calm demeanour in high-pressure situations and use these traits to perform well in a teamBe open to having input into seasonal menu design and on-going dish developmentSeek to further their skillset and food knowledge by showcasing local produceHave a high standard of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness.The role on offer is a Casual / Part Time position working within a team,



with long-term goals and new opportunities on the horizon.You will be required to work split shifts, weekends, public holidays and be available for Christmas DayYour responsibilities in the kitchen will include but not limited to:Overseeing delivery of stock of food, equipment supplies and completing purchase ordersEnsuring freshness and quality in the ingredients and preparation of mealsPrepare and cook foods for dining and function serviceImplementing and enforcing hygiene regulations and examining equipment for cleanlinessFood stocktaking procedures and waste managementDay to day temperature checkThe position is not limited to qualified chefs with a Certificate IV and a Diploma of Hospitality, but without the above qualifications you will be required to have a minimum of three years' experience working in busy kitchens.Only short listed candidates will be contacted.
