We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented technician to join a well-established, family-owned manufacturing business based in CarbrookThis is a casual chance offering an immediate start, consistent hours and the potential to increase from three to five days per week as workload grows.The Opportunity$***** per hour + superDay Shift: 6:30am - 3:00pmFlexible casual work: 3 days per weekIncrease to 5 days per week as workload increasesImmediate StartAbout the RoleWorking within a laboratory environment, you will assist with the testing and assessment of sand and soil materials, ensuring accurate results and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.Your responsibilities may include:Conducting laboratory testing of sand and soil samplesCollecting,



preparing and handling samples for testingRecording and maintaining accurate test results and laboratory recordsFollowing testing procedures and quality requirementsMaintaining a clean, organised and safe laboratory environmentWorking collaboratively with the team to meet daily testing requirementsWhat We're Looking ForTo be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have:Previous laboratory experience involving sand and/or soil - highly desirableExperience with material sampling, preparation and testingStrong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skillsA commitment to workplace health and safetyThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamGood communication and organisational skillsReliability and flexibility as working days increase with workloadCandidates with experience in construction materials testing, soil testing, quarry laboratories or aggregate testing are encouraged to apply.
