We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (Level 3) for an urgent temporary contract with an Older Persons Mental Health Service in Burnie, North West TAS.
This contract runs from 21 September to 27 November 2026, working Monday to Friday days, 8:30am to 5:06pm (76 hours per fortnight). No planned leave will be approved during the contract due to staffing roster requirements. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality, recovery focused mental health services to older persons in a community setting, providing expert clinical knowledge in the management of consumers with complex mental health needs.
- Pay Rate: $70 - $85 per hour + Super
- Location: Burnie, Tasmania
- Contract Length: 21 September to 27 November 2026
- Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:06pm, 76 hours per fortnight
- No weekends, nights or on-call
- No planned leave approvals during the contract period
About You:
- Registration with the relevant Allied Health Professional Board of Australia (essential)
- Working with Vulnerable People registration, Tasmania (essential)
- Demonstrated experience working with mental health clients in a community setting (essential)
- Available to commence next week and commit to the full contract period
- Advanced clinical assessment and case management skills
- Strong communication, documentation and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
- Eligible to work in Australia
