St. James’ School has 400 students who are educated by dedicated staff and caring parents in a co-responsible manner. Banora Point is situated in Tweed Heads, NSW.

Classroom and Learning Support
Position Type: Part-time Temporary
Hours: 27 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
Commencement date: Thursday, January 28th, 2027
Term of Appointment: Until the end of the 2027 school year
Classification & Benefits:
This role is classified as Level 4 (averaged) under the NSW and ACT Systemic Catholic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2025 as updated or reviewed. Detailed information regarding the level, salary increments, and general employment conditions can be found within the Agreement.
Applicants must:
- hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check
- comply with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following criteria:
- A knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school.
- Experience in working with children with additional needs.
- Preparedness to undergo further training in aiding children with additional needs.
- Ability to successfully implement programs and document progress regarding individual and/or small group support.
- Experience in working collaboratively with teaching staff in a classroom environment.
