About us

Nyul Nyul PBC Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (NN PBC) is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation based in Broome, Western Australia. The Corporation supports Nyul Nyul people, members, Directors and community stakeholders to uphold culture, strengthen governance, care for Country, manage organisational operations and pursue social, cultural and economic outcomes for current and future generations.

NN PBC is the Registered Native Title Body Corporate (RNTBC) for the Nyul Nyul native title holders. Under the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth), the Native Title (Prescribed Bodies Corporate) Regulations 1999 and the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006, the Corporation manages and protects native title rights and interests on behalf of the native title holders, consults with and obtains the consent of native title holders on native title decisions, responds to future act notices and pursues cultural, land and sea, and economic opportunities on Nyul Nyul country.

About the role

The role develops and maintains project plans, timelines, budgets, records, registers, meeting documentation and progress reports in line with approved objectives, funding requirements and organisational procedures.

Working closely with the Executive Officer, Board members, staff, Traditional Owners, community members, funders, service providers and partner organisations, the Project Officer helps ensure projects are culturally safe, accountable,

This includes coordinating meetings, consultation and consent records, future act responses and cultural heritage activities. The Project Officer supports these processes but does not make native title decisions, which rest with native title holders and the Board.
