The Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate and reliable individual to join us as a Casual Funeral Director. This is an extremely rewarding career for someone who finds fulfillment in supporting families and the greater community during their time of need.

The Role

This is a multifaceted position that requires a balance of emotional intelligence and physical capability. Responsibilities include:

- Assisting, and supporting funeral services.

- Respectful transfer and care of the deceased.

- Driving work vehicles, including hearse’s, mourning cars and transfer vans.

- Cleaning of vehicle’s, coffin handling and basic maintenance.

Note: This can at times be a physically demanding role that requires regular lifting and carrying.

About You

We are seeking a candidate available for an immediate start.



While no prior industry experience is required, you must possess a genuine desire for exceptional customer service and meet the following criteria:

- Personal Attributes: Compassionate, reliable, and impeccably presented.

- Adaptability: The ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, changing workplace.

- Cultural Competence: A high level of respect for diverse cultures, religions, and traditions.

- Resilience: Comfortable working in an environment involving death and the expression of grief.

- Availability: Willingness to participate in an after-hours roster, including 1 night per week (minimum), one weekend per month (minimum), and some public holidays.

- Requirements: A valid, full driver’s licence.
