The role

We’re looking for an experienced civil drainer to join our crew on an 8-month contract for a civil project in Bunbury. You’ll install stormwater drainage infrastructure to design grades and levels, working alongside our operators and supervisors.

Key responsibilities

- Laying and jointing stormwater pipes to line and grade using a pipe laser

- Installing pits, headwalls, culverts and subsoil drainage [adjust to suit the project]

- Bedding, haunching, backfilling and compacting to specification

- Reading drainage plans, long sections and set-out information

- Installing and checking trench shoring and shields

- Operating small plant and tools, such as plate compactors, wacker packers and concrete saws

- Working closely with excavator operators and spotting for plant

- Following site safety systems,



including SWMS, toolbox meetings and hazard reporting

About you

- Proven experience as a drainer or pipelayer on civil projects

- Confident setting up and working to a pipe laser

- WA Construction Induction (White Card)

- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport

- Able to commit to the full 8-month contract

- Strong safety focus, attention to detail and a good team attitude

- Highly regarded: Confined Space, Traffic Controller, Working at Heights or small plant tickets
