The prospect

A well-established Australian manufacturer of infrastructure products is looking for a Head of Civil Infrastructure to lead its national sales team. You’ll own the civil portfolio, lead a team of BDMs selling direct to market across the eastern states, and set the direction for how the business wins Tier 1 & 2 projects in water, roads, subdivisions, tunnels, data centres and electrification.
This is a leadership role, not a sales role with a title. The business wants someone to take ownership, build a stronger hunting culture, and turn a healthy pipeline into consistent, profitable growth.

About the business

Our client is a respected manufacturer supplying utilities, councils, contractors and developers nationally. Its products are on major infrastructure projects across Australia, and it’s investing to grow its position in civil and emerging markets.

What you’ll be doing

- Leading, coaching and developing a national team of BDMs, building a sharper focus on new business
- Owning the national civil strategy, budget and forecast
- Driving pipeline discipline: qualification, coverage and a long-range view of major projects
- Building account strategies with Tier 1 contractors, utilities and asset owners
- Stepping in on strategic projects at executive level
- Working closely with manufacturing,



project delivery, specification and distribution teams
- Growing emerging segments including data centres, electrification and renewables

What we’re looking for

- Senior sales leadership in civil infrastructure products or services (pipe, precast, drainage, geosynthetics, valves, civil materials or Tier 1 contracting)
- A track record of leading teams and driving growth through new business, not just managing existing accounts
- Strong commercial judgement: you understand margin, forecasting and which projects are worth chasing
- Established relationships with Tier 1 & 2 contractors, utilities or asset owners
- A direct, considered leadership style, and the polish to work with senior stakeholders
- Based in Melbourne or Sydney, with interstate travel
