About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Testing Technician to undertake testing and inspection of electrical switchboards and switchrooms, ensure compliance with relevant standards, and provide technical guidance to other testing technicians.

Key Responsibilities

- Interpret and fill out Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) for Switchrooms

- Develop ITP's for Switchboards

- Conduct visual inspections on Switchboards and Switchrooms ensuring that the final product is in line with designed drawings, construction notes and client specifications.

- Transfer all red pen markings from production drawings onto the clean master drawing set to be used through the testing process and sent through to the client.

- Interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and client technical specifications.

- Conduct electrical testing, inspection and fault-finding on switchboards and switchrooms.

- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards, safety requirements and quality procedures.

- Complete testing reports and electrical compliance documentation.





- Train and guide testing technicians to maintain safe and consistent testing practices.

Skills and Experience

- Current, unrestricted Class A electrical license/ WA-recognized unrestricted Electrical Worker's License

- Demonstrated experience minimum 1 to 2 years in switchboard and switchroom testing.

- Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, electrical safety and compliance requirements.

- Experience using electrical testing equipment and preparing test reports.

- Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for quality, accuracy and workmanship.

- Takes pride in their work and consistently strives for high-quality results.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to mentor and support team members.
