About the role

Reporting to the Finance Manager this is a hands-on Finance Operations role for someone who enjoys taking ownership and making things happen. You will be responsible for ensuring that day-to-day finance operations run effectively, processes and controls are working as they should, and operational issues are identified and resolved. Working closely with the Finance Manager and broader senior leadership team, you will help ensure the finance function is efficient, well controlled and aligned with the strategic direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Take ownership of the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring core finance processes are completed accurately, efficiently and on time.
- Ensure finance processes, workflows and controls are working effectively and consistently across the business.
- Take a hands-on approach to managing and resolving operational finance matters, ensuring key activities are followed through to completion.
- Conduct variance analysis, identify trends and provide recommendations to improve financial and operational outcomes.
- Identify and address process gaps, inefficiencies and operational issues, driving practical improvements where required.
- Support strong financial controls,



accurate reconciliations and disciplined financial processes across the organisation.
- Work closely with the Finance Manager and senior leadership to provide visibility of key finance risks, issues and priorities, escalating matters where appropriate.
- Ensure finance operations remain aligned with the broader strategy and priorities of the business.

About you

- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end finance operations within a fast-paced or complex business workplace.
- Strong hands-on experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, cash management and month-end processes.
- 1-2+ years’ experience across finance operations, financial accounting, management accounting or a similar hands-on finance environment.
- Strong analytical capability, including variance analysis, trend identification and financial reporting.
- Experience improving finance processes, controls, workflows and reporting to drive greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working across financial systems and large volumes of financial data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across finance, operations and senior leadership.
