About the role

Caxton Cooperative Limited is seeking a skilled Digital Cutter Operator – Wide Format to join our printing and publishing services team. This is a full-time position based in Osborne Park, WA 6017. In this role, you will operate and maintain advanced digital cutting equipment used for wide-format materials, playing a crucial part in our production process. You will be responsible for ensuring precision cutting, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to the efficient operation of our printing facilities. This position is essential to delivering high-quality finished products to our clients in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities

- Operate digital cutting equipment safely and efficiently, following all operational procedures and safety protocols

- Set up cutting jobs according to specifications, ensuring accurate measurements and alignment of materials

- Monitor cutting processes and make real-time adjustments to maintain quality and precision

- Perform routine maintenance tasks on cutting equipment, including cleaning, calibration, and identification of potential issues

- Inspect finished cut materials for quality, ensuring they meet client specifications and company standards

- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and alert supervisors to any technical issues requiring specialist attention

- Maintain accurate records of production runs, material usage, and equipment performance

- Work collaboratively with other production team members to meet project deadlines

- Keep the work area clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations





- Follow all company policies and contribute to a safe, professional working environment

What we're looking for

- Proven experience operating digital cutting equipment, preferably in a wide-format printing or publishing environment

- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand equipment specifications and operating manuals

- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards in finished products

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues independently

- Physical capability to handle materials and stand for extended periods during shifts

- Reliable and punctual work ethic with a strong focus on safety

- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues

- Experience with production management software or digital design files is advantageous

- Current knowledge of health and safety practices in printing and manufacturing environments

- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in printing or equipment operation are preferred
