The role

The Assistant Branch Manager supports the Branch Manager in overseeing daily branch operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant processing, storage, movement, and sale preparation of vehicles and other assets.

The role provides hands-on leadership across yard operations, staff supervision, safety, customer service, KPI performance and resource management. In the Branch Manager’s absence, the Assistant Branch Manager acts as the delegated operational lead within approved authority.

What you’ll do

- Leadership & Staff Management responsibilities - Training & Managing a small on site team in Spring Farm

- Yard & Asset operations, working hands on overseeing vehicle asset check ins, inspections, photography, cleaning, decal and property removal from assets and sales preperation

- Safety,



Environment & Compliance - Ensure policies & procedures are adhered to and the company is meeting its compliance requirements.

- KPI achievement & Reporting - Maintain accurate records, ensuring processing times are adhered to, and site targets are met.

- Customer & Stakeholder relationships - Coordinator with internal leaders and external customers for arrivals, collections and documentation requirements.

What you bring

• Prior experience effectively leading or supervising teams.

• Experience with or knowledge of the automotive industry is highly desired

• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

• Proficiency using computers, MS Office Suite products (Word, Excel) and digital cameras.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (on this job your most valuable tools will be the 2-way radio, a cell phone and a desk phone).

• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.

• Experience working independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented workplace. You thrive working as part of a team, and pitch-in wherever needed.

• A strong customer service orientation.

• You like to work hard and still have fun on the job.

The job will require you to;

- Maintain a valid, clean driver’s license.

- Undergo a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol testing & National Police Check

- Work both indoors and outdoors year-round in the Yard.

- Travel to other IAA yards as required

- Display strong leadership skills, including problem solving, training staff and resolving operational issues
