The Opportunity

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Kitchen Trainee or Apprentice to join our team at our brand new commercial kitchen facility in Devonport.

This is a fantastic prospect to gain hands-on experience alongside skilled kitchen professionals and work towards a nationally recognised qualification through either a traineeship or apprenticeship pathway.

You'll develop practical culinary skills in a busy, supportive kitchen while helping prepare nutritious, quality meals for Tasmanian's in need.

Whether you're entering the workforce or exploring a new career in hospitality, we'll support you in building the skills, knowledge and confidence to succeed.

No previous kitchen experience required – just enthusiasm, commitment and a willingness to learn!

What You'll Be Doing

- Assisting with the preparation, cooking and service of nutritious, quality meals.

- Learning practical cooking techniques alongside experienced chefs and kitchen professionals.

- Developing skills in food safety, hygiene and kitchen operations.

- Supporting daily kitchen activities and maintaining high workplace standards.





- Completing structured workplace training towards your chosen qualification.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about food, eager to learn and ready to become part of a supportive team.

You'll bring:

- A genuine interest in cooking and the hospitality industry.

- A positive attitude, reliability and a strong willingness to learn.

- Good communication skills and a team-focused approach.

- Commitment to completing a traineeship or apprenticeship.

- A current Working with Vulnerable People registration, or the ability to obtain one. (Required)

- Australian citizenship or permanent residency, in accordance with the eligibility requirements for this opportunity.
