NPC Afternoon/Evening Receptionist and Membership Administrator (Part-Time)

Location: National Press Club of Australia – Canberra

The National Press Club of Australia is the nation’s leading forum for discussion and debate, renowned for its live, televised events and as the stage of choice for Australia’s leaders, thinkers, and innovators.

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Afternoon/Evening Receptionist and Membership Administrator to join our team. This is a dynamic, front-facing role ideal for someone who is personable, professional and enjoys engaging with people from all walks of life. What we’re looking for:

- Friendly, proactive, and approachable personality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates a high standard of personal presentation and qualified behaviour
- Confident with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). Familiarity with CRM platforms and basic website management is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team




- Part-time position: Monday to Friday
- Monday: 4.30-7.30pm
- Tuesday: 4.30-7.30pm
- Thursday: 4.30-9.00pm
- Friday: 4.30-9.00pm
- On-site only – no remote work option

Key Responsibilities:

- Welcome and assist Club members, guests, and visitors
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and general front desk duties
- Membership administration, including applications, renewals, and member inquiries
- Administration support of live broadcast events
- Provide administrative support to the Senior Management team
