You’ll oversee bookkeeping responsibilities across multiple entities, working closely with directors and operations teams. This role combines day-to-day financial management with strategic analysis to help strengthen financial reporting and identify operational efficiencies.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, invoicing and payment follow-up
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Manage payroll, superannuation and employee entitlement records
- Process intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Prepare BAS and coordinate with external accountant
- Monitor cash flow and produce regular financial reporting
- Maintain accurate records and improve financial processes
- Analyse labour, materials, vehicle, supplier and overhead costs
- Review profitability across jobs, contracts, trades and entities
- Compare actual costs against budgets and identify efficiency opportunities

About you





- Minimum of five years' bookkeeping experience
- Strong working knowledge of Xero and confidence using Excel
- Solid payroll experience; experience with Tanda would be highly regarded
- Ability to analyse costs and produce helpful management reports
- Accuracy, initiative and confidence to recommend improvements
- Genuine interest in growing with the company and taking on greater responsibility
- Experience in trades, construction or a service business would be highly regarded
