Head of Community and Teacher Engagement
Ready to share your teaching knowledge and experience beyond the classroom?
We're looking for a qualified teacher to join our ever-growing Top Teacher team as our Head of Community and Engagement .
You might be a principal, deputy, teacher leader or classroom teacher who loves sharing knowledge, connecting with others and creating opportunities for teachers to learn from one another.
This is an in-office role based in Perth, with a minimum of three days per week through to full time. We're happy to discuss days and hours to find an arrangement that works for the right person.
We're flexible on start dates too, with the opportunity to join us anytime between now and February 2027.
About Top Teacher
We create teaching resources, digital tools, games and practical ideas that support teachers in their everyday work.
We want to build a community where teachers feel connected, supported and heard. This role will bring teachers together, share useful knowledge and practical ideas, and give them opportunities to contribute to what we do at Top Teacher.
What you’ll be doing
Planning and hosting webinars, live sessions and practical demonstrations that offer useful advice, tips and classroom ideas.
Planning and delivering community events and teacher meet-ups, including coordinating participants, materials, timelines and logistics.
Representing Top Teacher at events and conference stalls, sharing what we do and building relationships with teachers.
Leading our teacher ambassador programme, from onboarding and coordinating briefs and contributions to ongoing support, communication and celebrating their involvement in Top Teacher.
Writing engaging emails that share resources, practical ideas, teacher stories, community updates and promotional campaigns.
Building welcoming, active Top Teacher Facebook groups where teachers connect,
ask questions and share ideas.
Bringing teacher voices, experiences and feedback into our work through ongoing conversations and opportunities to contribute.
Developing recent ways to engage our teacher community and taking responsibility for organising and delivering them.
This role may include occasional travel.
You'll work closely with our leadership team and collaborate with our marketing, social and resource teams. You'll contribute ideas, help shape our community approach and ensure everything you deliver reflects Top Teacher's voice and vision.
About you
You're a qualified teacher who understands school life and knows how to connect with other teachers.
You may have led a team, brought a school community together, organised events or delivered professional learning. Whatever your role, you can show how you've encouraged people to get involved and made things happen.
You're confident presenting, leading a discussion and meeting recent people. You're interested in what others have to say and can help them feel welcome, valued and heard.
You write clearly and warmly, with the ability to share ideas, knowledge and updates in a way that feels relevant to teachers.
You're organised and reliable, comfortable managing several priorities and following through on the details. You take initiative, contribute ideas and work well with others in a busy, growing team.
You don't need to have held a community management role before. We're interested in the experience, judgement and enthusiasm you would bring to Top Teacher.
Use your teaching experience to support and connect with teachers beyond your own school.
Help shape a growing community and see your ideas become real events, conversations and experiences.
Work with a creative team who care about teachers and the work they do.
Enjoy our team traditions, including Monday bagels and coffee and a well-stocked snack drawer.
