Veraspec is seeking a Business Development Manager to grow our client base across the Gold Coast. This role suits someone who takes initiative, builds strong relationships and can confidently manage their own day, from identifying opportunities through to securing work.
About the role
Based on the Gold Coast, you will take ownership of developing current business and maintaining client relationships throughout the region. You will need to be proactive in finding opportunities, getting in front of clients and following through to convert enquiries and quotes into confirmed work.
Our head office is in Brisbane. You must be available to work from our Brisbane office for at least the first two weeks to complete training and become familiar with our services, systems and team. Following this training, your daily work will be based across the Gold Coast region.
Your responsibilities will include:
Identifying and securing new clients for glazing and facade works.
Building and maintaining relationships with prospective and existing clients.
Arranging client meetings and site visits to understand project requirements.
Working with our Brisbane team to coordinate scopes,
quotations and proposals.
Following up opportunities and quotes through to a clear outcome.
Maintaining accurate client records and an active sales pipeline.
Planning your daily activity independently and reporting on progress and results.
What we’re looking for:
Experience in the glazing and facade industry, with a practical understanding of the works involved.
The confidence to approach new clients and discuss their requirements.
Strong communication, relationship-building and follow-up skills.
The ability to work autonomously, manage priorities and remain accountable for results.
A proactive approach to generating leads and winning business.
Availability to attend the initial training period in Brisbane and work across the Gold Coast thereafter.
Previous sales or business development experience will be highly regarded. We also welcome applications from people with a strong glazing and facade background who are ready to move into sales and take ownership of growing a client base.
