Casual General Practice Nurse – Kingscliff Health

Kingscliff Health General Practice is seeking a caring, experienced and motivated Endorsed Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse to join our friendly practice nursing team.

Located in beautiful Kingscliff on the Tweed Coast, Kingscliff Health is a busy, well-established general practice that prides itself on providing a rewarding and dynamic workplace, with a supportive team environment and a strong focus on quality patient care.

Previous general practice experience is an advantage, but not essential for the right applicant who is willing to learn and become part of our team.

Hours & Flexibility

Monday to Friday 2-3 Days per week, No weekend work.

The successful applicant/s will need to be adaptable with their days of work, as our nursing roster is coordinated around GP availability and leave requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse seeking ongoing work, variety in their role and the opportunity to become a valued long-term member of our practice team.

Job Tasks & Responsibilities

- Health Assessments

- Adult and childhood vaccinations

- Dressings, wound care and suture removal

- Assisting GPs with minor procedures

- ECGs and ABI





- Iron infusions and venesections

- Patient triage, blood pressure monitoring and observations

- SC, IM and IV medication administration

- Treatment room management and day-to-day nursing duties

- Infection prevention and control

- Sterilisation

- Other general practice nursing responsibilities as required

Skills & Experience

- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration

- Current CPR certificate

- General practice experience advantageous, but not essential

- Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team

- Excellent time management and organisation skills

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- A professional, friendly and patient-centred approach

- Willingness to learn and develop new skills

- Flexibility to assist with sick and annual leave cover is a must
