Role Overview

Our College is seeking a Learning Assistant (Teacher Aide) to work as part of our Student Development team in our Middle and Senior School.

- You must have a blue card or be eligible for a blue card.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Learning Development Coordinator, you will:

- Promote, support, and facilitate the participation of all students in learning and extracurricular activities.
- Support teachers in the classroom to provide a high-quality educational experience for all students.
- Use digital platforms to record and note-take relevant data and evidence and maintain confidentiality.
- At all times engage positively and professionally with staff, students and parents.
- Facilitate small group literacy and numeracy interventions.
- Use effective behaviour management, interventions, and student engagement strategies consistently,



in line with the College’s policies and procedures.
- Participate in staff devotions and College worship sessions.
- Other general duties and supervision as directed.

- Demonstrated competence in supporting students including those with additional needs in an inclusive school context.
- Demonstrated capacity to utilise digital platforms (including Microsoft Teams) for the purpose of supporting teaching and learning and keeping records.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and a capacity to quickly develop authentic relationships and maintain confidentiality.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and contributing to successful student and team outcomes.

Highly Desirable

Currently hold, or studying towards, a Certificate III (or higher) in School Based Education Support, or relevant education related courses.

Location

This role is based at our Springwood or Carbrook Campus.
