Willowbank Caravan Park and Motel are looking for a reliable, practical and approachable Gardener & Maintenance Handyperson to join our team.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining gardening, general maintenance and basic repairs across the property. You will work with different departments to help ensure our accommodation, amenities, gardens and communal areas are secure, well maintained and presented to a high standard.

We offer permanent set hours, a supportive and friendly workplace, and pay in accordance with the Hospitality Industry (General) Award.

Key responsibilities

Your day-to-day duties will include:

- Mowing, pruning, weeding, hedging and maintaining gardens, grounds and outdoor areas to a high standard
- Completing routine property checks and identifying maintenance requirements
- Carrying out general repairs to accommodation, amenities and communal areas
- Undertaking basic plumbing tasks, including unblocking toilets, inspecting cisterns and replacing water hoses
- Completing basic carpentry tasks, such as hanging doors, fitting locks, replacing handles and installing architraves or window frames
- Assembling furniture and replacing fixtures and hardware
- Completing general painting and decorating tasks
- Maintaining and repairing tools,



equipment and machinery
- Assisting with pool maintenance, rubbish removal and garden restoration
- Completing planned and preventative maintenance tasks
- Liaising with staff across different departments and responding to maintenance requests
- Using and storing tools, materials, equipment and consumables safely
- Following workplace health and safety requirements and relevant legislation

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous gardening and general handyman experience
- Practical experience using hand and power tools
- A friendly, approachable and customer-focused manner
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Good time-management and organisational skills
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- A current driver licence
- The physical fitness required to undertake gardening, maintenance and manual-handling duties safely
- A reliable, honest and flexible approach to work
