About Us
We are an Australian family-owned company with a recently refurbished stable of boutique guest houses located across the Eastern suburbs of Sydney. We are currently expanding our leadership team and have multiple rapid-track management positions available across our portfolio. We take great pride in our properties, ensuring no expense is spared in presenting accommodations that range from a classic landmark for the retiree traveller to a more modern offering for the price-conscious younger adventurer.
The Role
This is a unique transition role designed for ambitious hospitality professionals who want to lead but understand the value of knowing a business from the inside out. You will start on the ground in Guest Services, mastering the daily operations of our boutique properties. Once you have a comprehensive understanding of our brand standards and guest expectations, you will quickly advance into a dedicated Boutique Hotel Manager role, overseeing daily operations for specific sites within our group.
Reporting directly to our Group Operations Manager, you will be in a highly supported environment. Because we are a family-run business rather than a highly structured corporate entity, you will have the unique opportunity to learn directly from group leadership while taking ownership of your rapid career progression.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Begin by mastering daily frontline operations, including Guest Services, Housekeeping liaison, and Maintenance reporting to understand the foundation of our business.
Learn our specific property management systems,
guest experience standards, and revenue strategies from the ground up.
Rapidly transition into managing and mentoring the frontline team, taking full responsibility for staff rostering and training.
Manage and resolve guest complaints in a timely and appropriate manner to ensure optimum guest satisfaction at all stages of your progression.
Maintain availability across seven days on a rotating roster, which will include weekend work, with shifts evolving as you step into your management responsibilities.
About You:
You have a hands-on approach and are eager to prove yourself by executing flawless frontline shifts before stepping up to lead the team.
You possess a high level of emotional intelligence, natural leadership potential, and the drive to advance your career rapidly.
You can develop the ability to coach and mentor a team, ensuring they have the soft and technical skills to run the operation effectively.
You have the foresight to identify service and skills gaps, and the confidence to enforce solutions.
You can eventually provide honest feedback on performance and lead succession planning processes for team members.
You constantly strive to create memorable experiences for your guests, support a positive work environment, and inspire your staff to do the same.
What We Offer:
A clearly defined, fast-tracked path from Guest Services to Hotel Manager.
A close-knit, supportive team environment free from heavy corporate red tape.
Direct mentorship from our Group Operations Manager to help you rapidly develop your hospitality career.
