Key Responsibilities

- Maintain, service and repair industrial machinery and heavy equipment
- Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults and equipment issues
- Assemble, fit and repair mechanical components and machinery
- Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
- Inspect and replace bearings, gearboxes, motors and worn components
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications
- Assist with machinery installations and equipment upgrades
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment

Skills & Experience

- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting – Essential
- Proven experience in mechanical fitting, maintenance or equipment repairs
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Confident using workshop tools and mechanical equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Highly Regarded:

- Experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
- Background in heavy equipment or concrete mixing machinery
- Experience in aluminium manufacturing or metal processing
- Knowledge of automated production equipment and machinery
