Elephant British Pub is seeking a talented and passionate Full Time Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. This is a full-time position based in Adelaide SA 5000, offering an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a rapid-paced hospitality environment. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes that reflect our commitment to delivering an experience to our valued guests.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and cooking dishes to consistent standards, maintaining quality and presentation across all menu items
- Managing station responsibilities and ensuring efficient workflow during service periods
- Maintaining strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP principles
- Collaborating with the head chef and kitchen team to develop and refine menu offerings
- Receiving and preparing ingredients, managing inventory and minimising food waste
- Operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Maintaining a clean, organised and professional kitchen environment at all times
- Adapting to peak service demands and maintaining composure under pressure

What we’re looking for

- A recognised culinary qualification or equivalent practical experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Proven experience as a chef or cook, ideally in a pub or casual dining establishment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and ability to execute dishes to a high standard
- Current food safety and hygiene certification or willingness to obtain this qualification




- Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask in a busy kitchen
- Sound understanding of portion control and cost management in food preparation
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team whilst also taking ownership of your station
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences
- Familiarity with British cuisine and pub-style cooking is highly desirable
