An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a leading mid-tier civil contractor delivering some of Queensland's most complex infrastructure projects across roads, bridges, rail and renewable energy.

With a solid pipeline of work and significant recent project wins across Regional Queensland and South East Queensland, the business is continuing to grow from strength to strength.

They have recently commenced a $40M civil package as part of a major Energy Upgrade, located approximately 3 hours from Brisbane, and are now looking for a Senior Project Engineer to take a key leadership role in delivering the project over the next 12-15 months.

The Opportunity

This is a genuine chance to lead from the front and make your mark on a complex project from the early stages of delivery through to completion.

You will lead a team of:

- 2 x Project Engineers
- 3 x Site Engineers

Working closely with the Project Manager and broader delivery team, you will take ownership of the engineering function across the project and be responsible for the successful delivery of your packages.

The scope includes:

- Roads and bulk earthworks
- Stormwater
- Drainage
- Concrete works
- General civil infrastructure

You will be involved across the full spectrum of Senior Project Engineering responsibilities, including project planning, programming, cost control, subcontractor management, procurement, design coordination, quality, safety and technical delivery.





We're looking to speak with Senior Project Engineers with 8+ years' post-graduate experience who have a proven track record delivering complex civil infrastructure projects.

Ideal Candidate

Ideally, you'll have:

- A Civil Engineering degree
- 8+ years' post-graduate experience
- Proven experience delivering complex civil projects
- Experience working for a mid-tier civil contractor
- A robust background in self-performed civil construction
- Experience across roads, drainage, concrete and/or bulk earthworks
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor engineering teams
- Excellent commercial and project management capability
- A hands-on approach to engineering and project delivery
- The drive and commitment to work in a remote project workplace

The project operates on a family-friendly 2/1 DIDO roster and is expected to run for the next 12-15 months.

This role will suit someone who is genuinely committed to working the 2/1 roster for the duration of the project and enjoys the challenge of working on complex projects in a remote environment.Camp-style accommodation is provided, with all accommodation costs covered by the client.
