About the Opportunity

Hatchit Studios is seeking an experienced Lead Data Manager to support a major Federal Government client in strengthening enterprise data management, governance, analytics and reporting capabilities.

This role requires robust expertise in Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Purview, data governance and data integration , with the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable business insights.

The successful candidate will lead data management initiatives, develop high-quality reporting solutions, establish data governance practices and collaborate with senior stakeholders to support informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead enterprise data management, governance and reporting initiatives to improve data quality, accessibility and compliance.
- Design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports and visualisations using Microsoft Power BI.
- Utilise Microsoft Purview to support data discovery, classification, information governance and compliance across Microsoft 365 environments.
- Analyse, integrate and validate complex datasets from multiple sources to deliver accurate, actionable insights.
- Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, standards and quality assurance processes.
- Identify and address data integrity, privacy, security and compliance risks.
- Establish reporting standards, performance measures and data models to support consistent business reporting.
- Collaborate with senior executives, technical teams and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Provide technical leadership,



mentoring and guidance to support team capability and continuous improvement.
- Prepare executive reports, recommendations and documentation to support strategic decision-making.

Skills & Experience Required

- Demonstrated experience in a senior or lead data management, data governance or analytics role.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Power BI , including dashboard development, data modelling, reporting and visualisation.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Purview , including data classification, discovery, governance and information management.
- Robust understanding of enterprise data governance frameworks, data quality management, metadata and information security.
- Experience integrating, cleansing and validating data from multiple systems and sources.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python or other relevant programming languages for data collection, transformation and integration.
- Experience developing data management strategies, policies, procedures and reporting standards.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate complex information into meaningful business insights.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including stakeholder engagement, mentoring and managing competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Previous experience working within Federal Government or other highly regulated environments (highly regarded).
