Head Vet Nurse | ARH Wollongong | Full-time position

We are seeking an experienced nurse who is ready toelevate their career, support an exceptional nursing team, and make a meaningful difference in a locally loved hospital!

As Emergency Head Nurse, you will work closely with the hospital leadership team while remaining actively involved on the clinical floor. This role is designed as a working leadership position, providing support to our veterinarians, mentoring the nursing team, and helping drive operational excellence across the hospital while embodying our PAKT values.

The Role:

Full-time position (38 hours per week)

Rotating roster including:

Day shifts

Evening shifts

Overnight shifts

Every second weekend off

Lead by example and provide strong clinical leadership on the floor

We are looking for someone who:

Is an experienced and highly capable veterinary nurse

Has a strong background in emergency and/or critical care nursing

Leads by example and inspires those around them

Enjoys mentoring, coaching, and developing others





Is confident working in a fast-paced and complex emergency setting

Embraces continuous learning and improvement

Communicates with authenticity, compassion, and confidence
