What you'll be doing





The primary responsibility of a clinical coder is the accurate translation of narrative descriptions of diseases, injuries and procedures into alphanumeric codes using ICD-10-AM and the correct assignment of the DRG within the NSW Health and Northern Sydney Local Health District timeframes.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

- Completion of HIMAA/OTEN coding course or relevant tertiary qualifications in Health Information Management.
- Demonstrated coding experience in a tertiary hospital using ICD-10-AM/ACHI and 3M Codefinder across a range of specialties with a proven knowledge and understanding of Australian Coding Standards and DRGs.

Demonstrated ability to monitor and consistently meet coding throughput and quality KPIs.
