We are seeking an experienced Claims Consultant to join a leading insurance broking team. This is an opportunity to be part of a client-focused broking business where your role is to advocate for clients, manage claims and work closely with insurers to achieve fair, timely and favourable outcomes.

About the Role

As a Claims Consultant, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of mixed commercial claims (with a focus on property and liability) while advocating for clients throughout the lifecycle of the claim. You will act as a trusted point of contact, ensuring clients are supported, informed and represented when dealing with insurers.

Working closely with clients, insurers, loss adjusters and the broader broking team, you will take ownership of claims and proactively drive them towards resolution.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Managing and overseeing a portfolio of mixed commercial insurance claims from initial notification through to final settlement.
- Acting as a strong advocate for clients.
- Liaising and negotiating with insurers, loss adjusters, assessors and other stakeholders to progress claims and achieve favourable outcomes.
- Providing clients with clear advice and guidance on policy coverage, claims processes and potential outcomes.
- Proactively monitoring claims, identifying delays or issues and taking appropriate action to resolve them.
- Challenging insurer decisions where appropriate and supporting clients through disputed or complex claims.
- Maintaining regular communication with clients, ensuring they are kept informed and supported throughout the process.
- Building strong working relationships with insurers and industry stakeholders while always maintaining a client-first approach.




- Working collaboratively with the wider broking team to deliver a seamless client experience.

About You

You are a confident and proactive insurance professional who understands the important role a broker plays when a client needs to make a claim.

You are comfortable dealing with insurers, challenging decisions when necessary and advocating for clients to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Ideally, you will bring:

- Strong commercial claims management experience, preferably within an insurance broking environment.
- In-depth experience managing a portfolio of commercial insurance claims, including property and general liability.
- Strong negotiation, communication and relationship management skills.
- The confidence to advocate for clients and constructively challenge decisions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex or contentious claims.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to take ownership and drive claims through to resolution.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A genuine commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

A Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification will be highly regarded.
