As Cafe Supervisor, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the cafe floor, working closely with the General Manager and leading the team on shift. You'll be responsible for maintaining service standards, managing cafe stock and ordering, training staff and ensuring the venue is clean, organised and ready for service.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the team: Supervise cafe staff on shift, provide hands-on support and ensure service standards are consistently met.
- Train and develop staff: Build team confidence through training in service, product knowledge, procedures and our S.O.S. standards.
- Manage stock and ordering: Place supplier orders within budget, monitor stock levels, minimise wastage and complete monthly stocktakes.
- Own opening and closing procedures: Ensure opening procedures are followed consistently and complete end-of-day cash counts when closing.
- Maintain presentation: Keep the cafe and shop floor clean, organised and presentable throughout the day.
- Manage compliance: Ensure food is stored, prepared and served safely, and follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Support the wider team: Assist with cafe rostering and recruitment,



maintain uniform standards and communicate operational issues to the General Manager.
- Keep operations running smoothly: Update cafe items and pricing in Square POS, organise monthly deep cleans and report maintenance issues.

About you

- Has experience in a cafe or hospitality setting, ideally in a supervisory or team-leading role.
- Is confident leading a team and setting clear expectations on shift.
- Is organised, reliable and comfortable taking responsibility for day-to-day operations.
- Understands the importance of stock control, ordering, food safety and minimising wastage.
- Takes pride in cleanliness, presentation and attention to detail.
- Communicates well, leads by example and knows when to escape an issue.
- Enjoys working in a distinctive environment where hospitality, plants and the local community come together.
