AVI Protection Group Pty Ltd is seeking a Casual Security Officer to join our growing team in Kempsey, NSW. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst providing essential security services to our clients across the region. As a Casual Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining safety and security at various client locations, responding to incidents, and ensuring a secure setting for all people and assets under your care. This role is perfect for individuals seeking flexible work arrangements without compromising on meaningful employment.
Key responsibilities
- Patrol and monitor client premises to detect and prevent unauthorised access, theft, and other security breaches
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas
- Monitor security systems, CCTV footage, and alarm systems
- Check identification and maintain visitor logs at entry and exit points
- Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies in a professional manner
- Report security concerns and incidents to management and relevant authorities
- Provide customer service and maintain professional communication with clients and the public
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of daily activities and incidents
- Comply with all security protocols, policies, and legal requirements
What we’re looking for
- Current Security License (or willingness to obtain one) as required by NSW legislation (NSW Class 1A)
- Strong observational and attention to detail skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Professional and courteous demeanour at all times
- Physical fitness and ability to perform regular patrols and stand for extended periods
- Reliability and punctuality in meeting shift commitments
- Problem-solving capabilities and sound judgment in responding to incidents
- Knowledge of emergency procedures and health and safety protocols
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Current First Aid Certificate (required)
- Clean driving record and willingness to travel between client locations
