Are you a natural relationship builder who enjoys being out in the community, connecting with people and creating opportunities for others?
Challenge Employment & Training Limited is looking for a motivated, person-focused Student Engagement & Recruitment Officer to join our RTO team!
As our Student Engagement & Recruitment Officer, you'll play a key role in promoting our Government funded training programs, building strong community partnerships and attracting new students to our courses.
This is a highly mobile, relationship-focused role, with approximately 80% of your working week spent on the road engaging with schools, Link and Launch, Queensland Pathways, job providers and other community organisations.

A Challenge vehicle, fuel, phone and laptop will be provided to support you in the role.
Your Responsibilities
- Student Recruitment: Proactively identify, engage and recruit prospective students into our training programs.

- Growth & Participation: Identify opportunities to increase awareness of our training programs, improve engagement and grow student enrolments.
- Reporting & Administration: Maintain accurate records of engagement activities, referrals, prospective students and recruitment outcomes.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who is confident engaging with a wide range of people, enjoys working independently and is passionate about helping others access education and training opportunities.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience in student recruitment, community engagement, business development, sales, stakeholder relations or a similar role.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence networking, presenting information and promoting services to external organisations.
- The ability to proactively identify opportunities,
generate referrals and convert enquiries into enrolments.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage your own schedule while working out in the community.
- A high level of digital literacy and confidence using technology to maintain records and communicate with stakeholders.
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly as part of the role.
- A genuine interest in education, training, employment pathways and supporting people to achieve their goals.
Experience in the RTO/VET, employment services or not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded.
Why Choose Us?
- Help people access training and create new opportunities for their future.
- Spend your week out in the community building relationships and connecting with prospective students.
- Access to a vehicle, fuel, phone and laptop to support your work.
- Competitive salary package with salary sacrifice options.
- Opportunities to build your skills and grow professionally.
- Join a not-for-profit organisation with more than 50 years of experience supporting individuals and communities.
