We're Leichhardt Eyecare, a locally owned, independent optical practice in the heart of Leichhardt. We're looking for a warm, confident salesperson to join our team, help our patients find the right eyewear, and deliver the kind of personal service the big chains can't.
No experience in optical? Perfect. If you're a natural with people and you genuinely enjoy helping them, we'll teach you everything about the products, the lenses, and the eyewear. What we can't teach is a outstanding attitude and the confidence to connect with someone the moment they walk in. That part is on you, and it's what we're really hiring for.
What you'll be doing
- Welcoming patients and customers and making them feel looked after
- Helping people choose frames, lenses and sunglasses that suit them
- Guiding customers through the sale from start to finish
- Supporting the practice with day to day retail tasks
- Learning the optical side of the business as you go, with full training and support
What we're looking for
- Reliability above all.
Friday and Saturday are our busiest trading days, so we need someone we can count on to show up and bring their best, every week
- Confidence and genuine enjoyment in dealing with people face to face
- A natural ability to build rapport and guide a sale
- Retail or sales experience is a plus. Experience in medical, optical or pharmacy retail is a bonus but absolutely not required
- Minimum of 1+ years retail or sales experience required
- Someone local to Leichhardt or the Inner West, who can get to us easily
- Australian citizenship is required for this position
The offer
- Part time to start: Friday and Saturday
