About the role

We are seeking a Hospitality super star to join our busy country pub team on a casual basis. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic hospitality environment where no two shifts are the same. Working from our venue in Carrick, Tasmania, you'll be at the heart of our operations, delivering outstanding service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys connecting with people from all walks of life.

What you'll be doing

- Providing friendly and attentive bar service to customers, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally
- Taking orders for drinks and food, processing payments accurately, and handling cash and electronic transactions
- Preparing and serving beverages with accuracy and consistency, following established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintaining a clean and organised bar area, including restocking supplies and washing glassware
- Engaging with customers in a warm and personable manner, building rapport and encouraging repeat visits
- Supporting the wider team during busy service periods and assisting with general pub duties as required




- Adhering to responsible service of alcohol practices and all relevant hospitality regulations
- Contributing to a positive team setting and helping to uphold the CARRICK INN HOTEL's reputation for excellence

What we're looking for

- Experience in bar or hospitality service, ideally within a pub or similar casual dining environment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a genuine interest in connecting with people
- Basic knowledge of common beverages and cocktails, or willingness to learn
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required for casual work
- Reliable and punctual, with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Current understanding of responsible service of alcohol practices and hospitality compliance
