Bainbridge is entering an exciting period of growth, and we’re looking for an experienced Purchasing Officer to expand our Product & Supply team.

About the role

Working closely with our Product Manager and teams across the business, you’ll manage an allocated supplier and product portfolio across the full purchasing cycle. You’ll also work alongside another Purchasing Officer, as part of a collaborative team.

This is a great opportunity to build broad experience across the wider supply chain. Alongside day-to-day purchasing, you’ll be exposed to demand planning, replenishment, inventory, supplier performance, inbound freight, product quality and purchasing systems, including utilising our supply and demand planning software, Netstock. You’ll see how purchasing decisions flow through to stock availability, warehouse operations, customer service and sales, giving you a strong understanding of how the broader business operates.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll take ownership of an allocated supplier and product portfolio and play an important role in keeping stock available, suppliers on track and inbound supply moving.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing your supplier and product portfolio across the full purchasing cycle, from planning and order placement through to delivery and closure
- Using our advanced stock and inventory management system, Netstock, and other business systems (including our WMS) to make informed replenishment and purchasing decisions
- Reviewing forecasts, stock requirements, lead times and supply exceptions to identify risks and opportunities early
- Building robust day-to-day relationships with suppliers and driving follow-up on delays, shortages and changing requirements
- Keeping a close eye on backorders, ETAs and inbound priorities to help maintain stock availability
- Coordinating freight, shipping information and delivery requirements with internal teams and suppliers




- Working closely with Inventory and Warehouse to resolve discrepancies and keep stock flowing through the business
- Supporting the resolution of supplier quality issues, including credits, replacements, returns and corrective actions
- Maintaining accurate purchasing, supplier and delivery data across business systems
- Contributing to reporting, process improvement and the continued development of purchasing and planning practices across the team

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who brings a strong mix of purchasing knowledge, commercial awareness and a practical approach to getting things done.

You’ll be someone who is comfortable taking ownership of your portfolio, working closely with suppliers and using data and systems to support positive purchasing decisions.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

- Experience across purchasing, procurement, supply planning or replenishment
- Netstock experience is highly desirable, particularly if you’ve used it for forecasting, replenishment or exception management
- A solid understanding of stock planning, purchase orders, supplier performance and inventory requirements
- Confidence working with forecasts, lead times, stock levels and changing supply priorities
- Strong supplier relationship skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and follow issues through to resolution
- Good commercial judgement and the ability to recognise supply risks before they become larger problems
- High attention to detail,



particularly when it comes to system accuracy and purchasing data
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and willingness to contribute ideas and improvements
- Strong Excel and general systems capability
- Building reporting capabilities to inform management
- The ability to communicate and work collaboratively across Product, Inventory, Warehouse and other areas of the business
- Experience within wholesale, distribution, importing, quality control or another product-based environment would be highly regarded.
