The Chance

We’relooking for an experienced Senior Agronomist to join our Ballarat-based team.

This is a senior technical and commercial role with responsibility for managing andgrowing an external client portfolio, while developing new grower relationshipsacross Ballarat and broader western Victoria.

You’llhave the autonomy to provide practical, evidence-based agronomic advice, backedby the scale and resources of a diversified agricultural business. You’ll alsowork alongside our broader production, merchandise, grain and logistics teamsand have the opportunity to explore new technology and commercial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide high-qualityagronomic advice across crop planning, nutrition, soil health, weed, pest anddisease management.
- Develop practical farmand cropping plans focused on productivity, profitability and long-termsustainability.
- Manage and grow aportfolio of external grower clients.
- Develop new agronomyand commercial opportunities across Ballarat and regional Victoria.
- Use data, digitalagronomy tools and emerging technologies to support better on-farm decisions.




- Build trusted,long-term relationships with growers and industry stakeholders.
- Mentor and supportdeveloping agronomists.
- Collaborate across ourinputs, grain, logistics and production businesses.
- Represent the businessat grower meetings, field days and industry events.

What You’ll Bring

- A degree inAgricultural Science, Agronomy or a related discipline.
- At least 3–5 years'broadacre agronomy experience, ideally in dryland cropping.
- Strong technicalcapability across crop nutrition, crop protection, soil health and integratedpest management.
- Experience managing anexternal grower/client portfolio.
- The confidence todevelop new client relationships and commercial opportunities.
- Strong communicationskills and the ability to build credibility with growers.
- Commercial acumencombined with sound technical judgement.
- An interest intechnology, data and innovation in agriculture.
- Experience mentoringor developing junior agronomists.
