The Wise Foundation is looking for an experienced Café Supervisor to join our team at our café, located within ARUP's modern Brisbane CBD office.

This is a casual position of at least 30 hours per week, working Monday to Friday within the hours of 7:30am–3:30pm, with occasional evening shifts for internal events. No weekends required

We're a certified social enterprise and not-for-profit dedicated to creating employment opportunities for young people from refugee and asylum‑seeking backgrounds through our Wise Hospitality Training Program. In partnership with ARUP, a global collective of designers, engineers and technical experts, we operate a welcoming workplace café delivering exceptional coffee and customer service while creating meaningful social impact.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the café, including:

Leading and supporting the café team during service

Delivering exceptional customer service to ARUP employees and visitors

Producing consistently high-quality coffee and maintaining excellent barista standards

Assisting with the delivery of internal corporate events

Training and mentoring recent team members,



including participants in the Wise Hospitality Training Program

Helping ensure the café operates smoothly, efficiently and to the highest standards each day

What We're Looking For

Minimum 2 years' barista experience

Minimum 1 year experience leading or supervising a hospitality team

Friendly, positive and professional with a genuine passion for hospitality

Strong leadership and communication skills

A passion for mentoring and developing others

Excellent attention to detail and a customer-first mindset

Availability to work Monday to Friday, with occasional evening events

Must have Australian Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship
