Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa).

What you'll be doing

- Providing a safe and secure environment for staff, patients and visitors, and assisting clinical staff in the care and comfort of patients

About You

You hold a current Class 1A Security Licence issued by the NSW Security Licensing & Enforcement Directorate (SLED), a current Senior First Aid Certificate, and a valid driver's licence, enabling you to perform security duties in accordance with legislative and organisational requirements under MNCLHD Master Licence 410572298. You demonstrate strong skills in managing aggressive incidents, challenging behaviours, and responding appropriately to duress situations, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of patients, staff, and visitors.

You are adaptable and responsive to direction, working effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a professional and cooperative approach. Your well-developed communication skills allow you to engage confidently and respectfully with staff at all levels, patients, clients, and members of the public, fostering positive relationships and supporting a safe healthcare environment.

You possess a sound understanding of environmental cleaning standards, infection prevention and control practices, safe manual handling procedures, and work health and safety principles. You consistently apply these requirements in daily operations to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.



You are also flexible and committed to participating in a seven-day rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays, school holidays, and morning, afternoon, and night shifts. Furthermore, you have an understanding of, and willingness to work within, a morgue environment, demonstrating professionalism, sensitivity, and respect in all aspects of the role.
