We are seeking enthusiastic and high-performing Senior Litigators to join our Litigation and Legal Services team.

As a Senior Litigator, you’ll lead multiple complex taxation, administrative law and debt recovery litigation and dispute resolution cases, undertake detailed research, prepare high-quality court documents and correspondence, and advocate as required. You’ll manage relationships with internal and external legal stakeholders, represent the organisation in complex legal proceedings and hearings, and strategically advise on matters involving tax technical, debt recovery and administrative law.

In this challenging and rewarding role, you’ll provide high-level advice, navigate complex legal and policy issues, and contribute to the resolution of matters with significant business and client impacts. You’ll draw on your strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks, manage competing priorities and deliver sound, evidence-based outcomes. You’ll mentor and supervise others as required, contributing to the development of capability with the team.

Success in this role requires a comprehensive understanding of the responsibilities of the position and the legislative, regulatory and compliance frameworks that underpin its work. You’ll bring sound judgement, resilience and a commitment to achieving fair, skilled and timely outcomes in a dynamic legal environment.

These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Adelaide, Brisbane CBD, Hobart, Melbourne CBD, Perth or Sydney CBD.

• provides technical leadership and expert legal advice, while delivering services and outcomes within legislative, procedural, operational and policy frameworks

• manages the delivery of legal and dispute resolution services, including litigation, representation in legal proceedings, preparation of legal documents, and engagement with stakeholders and counsel

• develops and maintains productive stakeholder relationships, using sound judgement and influence to navigate complex and sensitive legal and litigation matters

• builds capability and mentors less experienced staff, providing guidance and influence that supports the delivery of high-quality legal advice and legally sound decision-making

• must be admitted to practice and hold or be eligible to hold a practising certificate in the relevant jurisdiction.

A minimum of 6 years post admission experience is highly desirable but not essential.
