GSA Group is a Townsville-based air conditioning, refrigeration and electrical business servicing residential, commercial and industrial customers throughout the region.

We’re looking for a reliable, motivated Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Apprentice to join our team. Whether you’re starting your apprenticeship or already partway through your training, we’d like to hear from you.

This is an opportunity to learn a practical trade, work alongside experienced tradespeople and gain experience across a variety of equipment and job sites.

What you’ll be doing

Working under the supervision of qualified tradespeople, you’ll:

- Assist with the installation, servicing and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

- Gain experience with split systems, ducted air conditioning and commercial refrigeration equipment.

- Learn how to install pipework, drainage and associated components.

- Develop fault-finding and preventative maintenance skills.

- Help keep tools, vehicles and work areas clean, safe and organised.

- Attend trade training and complete the requirements of your apprenticeship.

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to know the trade already, but you do need to be willing to learn, turn up on time and take pride in your work.

We’re looking for someone with:

- A strong interest in refrigeration,



air conditioning and practical work.

- A reliable work ethic and a positive attitude.

- The ability to follow instructions and work well within a team.

- Good communication skills and a respectful approach to customers.

- A commitment to secure work practices.

- A driver’s licence, or be working towards obtaining one.

- A construction White Card, or willingness to obtain one.
