Northern NSW Local Health District is seeking experienced General Physicians / FRACP-accredited Consultants to provide locum cover across General Medicine services.

This role is ideal for consultants wanting meaningful inpatient medicine work in a relaxed coastal and regional setting.

You will manage diverse medical caseloads, support admissions, supervise junior doctors and contribute to multidisciplinary care planning.

Clinical Environment

- Consultant-led inpatient General Medicine care
- Registrar and RMO support
- Complex chronic and acute medical presentations
- Structured handovers, consultant rounds and escalation protocols
- Collaboration with nursing, allied health and subspecialty outreach teams
- Opportunity to contribute to rural health outcomes

Requirements

- Specialist AHPRA Registration
- Fellowship of RACP in General Medicine, or equivalent
- NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
- Australian working rights
- Willingness to complete onboarding and credentialing
