The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

- Prepare surfaces and lay tiles on internal and external walls, floors and other surfaces using appropriate adhesives, grout and waterproofing materials to achieve durable, level and qualified finishes.
- Read and interpret building plans, drawings and specifications to determine tile layouts and installation requirements.
- Measure and mark surfaces to establish tile positions, patterns, levels and alignment.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, patching and applying waterproofing or bonding materials as required.
- Measure, cut and shape ceramic, porcelain, stone, marble, glass and mosaic tiles to fit designated areas.
- Mix and apply adhesives, mortar and other fixing materials according to specifications.
- Lay and secure tiles on floors, walls, bathrooms, kitchens, showers, balconies and other designated areas.
- Install tiles around corners, edges,



drains, pipes, fixtures and other obstacles.
- Maintain consistent spacing, alignment, levels and patterns throughout the installation.
- Apply grout and sealants to joints and finish edges for a neat, durable result.
- Inspect tiled surfaces for defects, unevenness, alignment and overall workmanship.
- Remove and replace damaged tiles and repair defective tiled surfaces as required.
- Calculate material quantities, minimise waste and maintain adequate supplies for each project.
- Clean and maintain tiling tools, equipment and work areas.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and comply with relevant construction and waterproofing requirements.
