Oral Health Therapist (OHT) | Orthodontics & General Dentistry | Part-Time or Full-Time

$45–$65 per hour + Superannuation | Bendigo, VIC

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Oral Health Therapist to join our growing dental group in Bendigo, working across two of our three modern dental clinics.

This position is available on a part-time or full-time basis, with a combination of orthodontic and general dental responsibilities.

2 Days per Week – Smile With Me (Orthodontic Focus)

Approximately 90% of your role at Smile With Me will involve assisting our dentists with orthodontic treatment, particularly clear aligner therapy.

Responsibilities include:

- Clear aligner reviews and monitoring treatment progress.

- Interproximal reduction (IPR).

- Orthodontic attachment placement and removal.

- Intraoral scanning and clinical photography.

- Assisting with all stages of clear aligner treatment.

- Patient education and orthodontic treatment support.

- Periodontal treatment, cleans and routine maintenance when required.

No previous orthodontic experience is required! We are happy to provide comprehensive training in all aspects of orthodontic treatment for the right candidate.

All clinical duties will be performed within your scope of practice and under appropriate dentist supervision where required.

2 Days per Week – Epsom Dental or Maiden Gully Dental (General Dentistry)

Clinic location to be confirmed.

Responsibilities include:

- Comprehensive oral health therapy for adults and children.

- Periodontal treatment, scale and cleans.

- Routine dental examinations, recalls and preventative care.





- Restorative dental treatment within your scope of practice.

- All aspects of children's dentistry, including preventative and restorative treatment.

- Independently managing your own patient appointments.

Additional days may be available for candidates seeking full-time employment.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

- Holds a recognised Oral Health Therapy qualification and current AHPRA registration.

- Must be qualified, confident and willing to treat children.

- Has a genuine interest in orthodontics and is willing to learn new clinical skills.

- Is comfortable providing restorative and periodontal treatment within their scope.

- Has excellent communication skills and a friendly, patient-focused approach.

- Can work independently and collaboratively with our dentists.

- Is reliable, organised and enthusiastic about professional development.

Previous orthodontic experience is an advantage but absolutely not essential. Full training will be provided.
