Food Processor – Nagisa Wholesale

Nagisa Wholesale is a growing, family-owned Japanese food manufacturing business supplying gyoza, soups and other specialty Japanese food products to restaurants, pubs and hospitality venues throughout Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and detail-oriented Food Processor to join our growing production team.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in commercial food preparation, food manufacturing or food processing. We are particularly interested in someone who takes pride in producing quality food, understands the importance of food safety and hygiene, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced production workplace.

Working hours

- Monday to Thursday, approximately 7:15am–3:00pm.

- Fridays may also be required depending on production workload and business demand.

- Casual employment, with hours varying according to production requirements.

- Weekends generally free.

Your responsibilities will include

- Preparing and processing Japanese food products, including gyoza and soups.

- Operating food preparation and manufacturing equipment.

- Following recipes and production procedures to maintain consistent quality.

- Maintaining excellent food safety,



hygiene and cleanliness standards.

- Monitoring product quality and ensuring correct handling and storage.

- Packaging, labelling and preparing finished products for delivery.

- Assisting with loading finished products into delivery vehicles.

- Working as part of a small team to meet daily production requirements.

About you

The ideal candidate will:

- Have previous experience in commercial food preparation, food manufacturing or food processing.

- Have a good understanding of food safety, hygiene and safe food handling practices.

- Understand temperature control and cross-contamination prevention.

- Be comfortable operating food preparation equipment and following production procedures.

- Work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and product quality.

- Be physically fit and comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting boxes.

- Be reliable, punctual, organised and able to work independently.

- Have a positive attitude and be willing to learn new skills.

A Food Safety Supervisor qualification or relevant food handling training will be highly regarded.
