Senza Wellness Foods is a well-established leader in gluten-free food manufacturing, and we're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Assistant to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on factory-based role supporting our quality function and playing an important part in maintaining food safety, product quality, and compliance standards.

Reporting directly to the QA Manager, you'll work closely with the production team to carry out daily start-up checks, perform quality inspections and regular CCP/QCP checks, maintain accurate records, and help ensure our products consistently meet compliance standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform daily start-up checks within the manufacturing facility.

· Conduct incoming goods inspections, verify supplier documentation and Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and maintain accurate records.

· Carry out routine quality assurance and food safety inspections throughout the production process and on finished products.

· Identify product defects, non-conformances and process deviations, and promptly communicate findings to the QA Manager and Production Manager.

· Conduct finished product testing, verification and associated record keeping.

· Ensure the production facility maintains a safe, clean and compliant working environment in accordance with workplace health and safety and food safety requirements.





· Monitor compliance with GMP, glass and hard plastic control, and other relevant food safety procedures.

· Monitor site maintenance activities, maintain relevant records and verify post-maintenance cleaning.

· Support staff training activities and maintain training records as required.

· Assist with product and environmental swab sampling for external laboratory testing in accordance with the established testing schedule.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records, test results and food safety documentation.

· Support internal audit activities and assist with preparation for external audits.

About You

· Previous experience in a quality assurance or food manufacturing environment is preferred.

· Sound understanding of HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety requirements.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to follow written procedures, work independently and maintain accurate documentation.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with production teams.

· Competent in using computer systems and maintaining electronic and hard-copy records.

· Own transport is essential, as our facility is located in Broadmeadows.

· Must have valid Australian working rights.

Desirable

· Formal HACCP Training

· Exposure to SQF, BRC, Organic or similar systems
