Vekta Automation is a Perth-based industrial automation OEM designing and manufacturing advanced machinery for the global timber frame and truss industry. We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Installation Coordinator (Project Engineer) who can balance planning, communication, logistics, customer requirements, resource availability, and project delivery outcomes.

Working closely with the Project Manager, you will coordinate project activities from project handover through to installation, commissioning and customer handover. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work across multiple departments, supporting the delivery of projects while developing your project management career in a growing manufacturing business.

You'll also contribute to continuous improvement by capturing project knowledge, supporting process documentation, and helping build organisational capability across our automation and machinery projects.

This role is expected to commence in January 2027.

What we offer:

? Work on projects delivered across Australia and international markets.
? Additional leave: One paid day off for your birthday.
? Flexible working arrangements, including adjusted start/finish times.
? Onsite parking provided at our Malaga facility.

Your Work Includes

- Coordinate installation activities from project kick-off through to installation, commissioning and customer handover.

- Develop and maintain installation schedules, ensuring milestones, resources and deliverables remain on track.

- Coordinate installation logistics including freight, workforce scheduling, travel, accommodation, equipment deliveries and site access requirements.

- Liaise with customers, suppliers,

contractors and internal teams to ensure project activities are effectively planned and executed.

- Coordinate internal and external resources, monitor workforce availability and capacity, and proactively manage scheduling conflicts and delivery risks.

- Verify site readiness requirements and coordinate mobilisation activities ahead of installation works.

- Coordinate contractor engagement and in office activities, supporting commissioning, testing, defect resolution and project close-out activities.

- Track installation labour, logistics expenditure and installation-related costs against project budgets, escalating variances where required.

- Manage installation documentation, including SWMS, JSAs, site-specific requirements, checklists, training records, SAT documentation and customer sign-off.

- Monitor installation quality and compliance with safety, quality and customer requirements, identifying risks and supporting mitigation plans.

- Capture project knowledge, maintain accurate project records, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

- Travel throughout Australia and NZ as required

We're Looking For Someone With:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related discipline) or equivalent industry experience.

- Experience using project management software, preferably Wrike, to plan, schedule, track and coordinate project activities, resources, risks and deliverables.

- Demonstrated experience coordinating project resources,

monitoring team availability and capacity, and resolving scheduling conflicts to support project delivery.

- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word and SharePoint.

- Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, with hands-on experience working with specialised manufacturing, automation or industrial equipment.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with customers, contractors and cross-functional teams.

- Exceptional organisational, problem-solving and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic project environment.

- Proven ability to plan, coordinate and oversee installation activities while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, cost and customer satisfaction.

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and installation documentation.
