Institute of Science Management and Technology (ISMT) is seeking energetic, motivated and industry-focused Trainers and Assessors to deliver high-quality training and assessment to students undertaking:

- AUR30320 – Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology
- AUR40620 – Certificate IV in Automotive Electrical Technology

The training will be delivered in Parramatta, with trainers allocated student groups according to training plans, student needs and availability.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver quality training and assessment for Automotive Electrical Technology qualifications.
- Facilitate and monitor student learning through the aXcelerate learning management system.
- Conduct training and assessment in classroom, workshop and workplace environments.
- Visit student workplaces to conduct training and assessments.
- Conduct, mark, record and provide feedback on student assessments.
- Provide ongoing student support via phone and email.
- Maintain accurate training and assessment records.
- Participate in assessment validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities.
- Assist with developing and reviewing training and assessment resources.
- Ensure resources and training remain current with industry requirements.
- Review and improve training programs and assessment processes.
- Maintain compliance with relevant VET legislation, RTO policies, training package requirements and regulatory standards.
- Support students undertaking workplace-based training and assessment.

About You





We are seeking a professional, enthusiastic and student-focused Trainer and Assessor with:

- Strong automotive electrical industry knowledge and practical experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Solid organisational, time-management and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings and weekends.
- Commitment to student support, quality training and continuous improvement.
- Ability and willingness to conduct workplace visits and assessments.

Necessary qualifications:

- Certificate IV or Higher Qualification
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or higher
- Relevant/current industry experience
- Knowledge of AQTF, ASQA
- 2 + years practical work experience in the field you deliver training
- A national police check (issued within the past 12 months)
