About the role
We are looking for a reliable and skilled Cook to join our kitchen team at El Camino Entertainment Quarter. In this casual role, you will prepare, cook, and plate food items according to established recipes and standards. You will thrive in a high-volume environment, ensuring fast, safe, and consistent service for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to high standards in a fast-paced setting.
- Plate food accurately following established recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain strict kitchen safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Manage food preparation and stock to ensure efficient service flow.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in a commercial kitchen or fast-paced food service role.
- Strong knife handling skills and knowledge of various cooking methods.
- A valid Food Handler Certificate (mandatory for commercial food handling in Australia).
- Vocational training such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is highly regarded.
- Exceptional reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of urgency.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to food safety and quality.
