TRAFFIC READY – TRAINING & EMPLOYMENT PATHWAY

Interested in starting a career in Traffic Control?

Upskills QLD Pty Ltd (RTO 40840) is seeking expressions of interest from people looking to enter Queensland's Traffic Control and Traffic Management industry through our Traffic Ready training and employment pathway.

SIGNIFICANT: This advertisement is for a fee-for-service training and employment pathway. It is not an advertisement for direct employment with Upskills QLD, and employment is not guaranteed.

Suitable applicants will be screened for the program before completing the required industry training. Following successful completion of training and applicable industry requirements, suitable candidates may be referred for interview opportunities with participating employers seeking traffic control workers.

TRAINING REQUIREMENT

Candidates entering the pathway are required to successfully complete the Traffic Ready training program.

Traffic Ready Program Fee: $999

The program includes nationally recognised training in:

- CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
- RIIWHS205E – Control traffic with stop-slow bat
- RIIWHS302E – Implement traffic management plans
- Required theory and practical training and assessment
- Employment pathway support and potential referral to participating employers

Additional Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) licensing/accreditation requirements and associated fees may apply and are not included in the $999 program fee.

HOW THE PATHWAY WORKS





Expression of Interest → Candidate Screening → Training & Assessment → Industry Requirements → Potential Employer Referral/Interview → Potential Employment

Successful completion of training does not guarantee employment.

Employment decisions are made independently by participating employers and are subject to available vacancies, candidate suitability, licensing/accreditation requirements and individual employer recruitment requirements.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

We are looking for people who:

- are genuinely interested in pursuing employment in traffic control;
- are reliable and able to attend work as rostered;
- are comfortable working outdoors and around active worksites;
- understand that traffic control work may involve early starts, variable hours and changing work locations;
- are willing to complete the required training and industry requirements; and
- are ready to pursue employment opportunities once appropriately trained and eligible to work within the industry.
