The Role

We are keen to connect with General Surgery Registrars interested in joining a major regional referral hospital in Victoria. This full-time registrar position offers broad operative and perioperative exposure within a busy surgical service, providing an excellent environment to further develop clinical decision-making, procedural skills and preparation for a surgical training pathway.

Working within a consultant-led multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the assessment and management of elective and emergency general surgical patients, participate in operating lists, outpatient clinics and the on-call roster, while gaining increasing responsibility appropriate to your level of training.

Training & Development

- RACS General Surgery Training through the Western RACS Vocational Training program.
- Exposure to a diverse range of general surgical presentations across elective and emergency care.




- Structured education supported by the Medical Education and Training Unit.
- Access to a dedicated Research Unit with opportunities to participate in clinical research and trials.
- Direct consultant supervision and multidisciplinary team collaboration.

Requirements

- Eligible for registration with AHPRA.
- Appropriate postgraduate surgical experience.
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in General Surgery.
