Fresco Marketplace is seeking an experienced, motivated and hands-on Assistant Grocery Department Manager to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong retail experience who enjoys leading a team, taking ownership and contributing to the success of a busy market grocer.
Key responsibilities
Assist with daily grocery department operations.
Manage stock ordering, replenishment and inventory control.
Maintain high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
Supervise, motivate and train team members.
Monitor stock rotation, waste and profitability.
Ensure excellent customer service and food safety standards.
Support the Department Manager and oversee operations when required.
About you
Previous supermarket or retail management experience preferred.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
Experience with stock control & ordering.
A proactive, reliable and hands-on approach.
Passionate about fresh food, retail and customer service.
